We're going to try something new today. So stick with me here. Sometimes, emails get long. I get that. So we’re going to start it all here, the way we normally do, and then send you on over to our La Huelga page on the website so you can dig in deeper. It's not going to be perfect but we'll get there.
We really want to know what you think, so don’t be afraid to be brutally honest. And listen, I know some of you will be brutally honest since I’ve been on the receiving end of some pretty intense replies from this newsletter. Some of y'all are lucky I don't have your mother's email addresses because DAMN. I do have Santa's though so watch out!
Okay so here’s stuff for you!
1️⃣ Our Workers’ Rights Board held its 4th hearing on Monday night on the cuts to the federal workforce. The hearing highlighted the TSA and AFA. If you didn’t catch it, here’s link to the video recording.
The next one is March 31st! We'll be speaking out on the cuts to the Department of Education! DO NOT MISS IT! This is where you go to register for in-person, and this is where you go to register for zoom. Both are great options but if you choose zoom you do have to order your own pizza.

2️⃣ This next month is going to be intense. So buckle the heck up. Check out the events page on our website and below. Open up your google calendar now. Seriously.
3️⃣ For the love of all that is good in the world and surrounding universe, get some damn rest. I mean it. Please.
🌹What We've Been Up To 🌹 - Angie & Xochitl
We’ve been on the move! From leading workplace immigration trainings with unions all over the city to showing up loud and proud at rallies, our team has been in full swing. Right now, we're putting our hearts into planning a special Worker’s Memorial Day art build on April 28th, in collaboration with all the powerhouse orgs in the Illinois Coalition of Occupational Safety and Health (ILCOSH). 🎨✊
We’re looking for artists to help us create a piece that honors immigrant workers — if you or someone you know would love to collaborate, send them our way!
This art build is just the kickoff — we’ve got press conferences brewing for the week of April 28th, and of course, we’re gearing up for the May Day march on May 1st and the wave of strikes following it. Get ready — it's going to be a powerful week of action, art, and solidarity!
