Mondelez, parent company of Nabisco, is laying off over half the unionized, predominantly African -America and Latino workforce at the industrial bakery at 73rd and Kedzie. Mondelez is moving production to Salinas, Mexico to exploit workers making pennies on the dollar to their American counterparts. This is a devastating blow to an already struggling community on Chicago's south side. The members of The Bakery, Confectionery, Tabacco Workers, and Grain Millers International Union (BCTGM) Local 300 are fighting back and fighting corporate greed and Jobs with Justice is standing in solidarity with them! Check the label and join the boycott of these products if they say "Made in Mexico": Oreo, Chips Ahoy!, Fig Newton's, and Nutter Butter.
