- Many seniors are still entitled to ride CTA, Pace, and Metra free (instead of at a seniors' reduced fare)! You may register online for the State of Illinois' Seniors Circuit Breaker if your income after certain deductions is less than $27,000 per year, https://cbrx1.aging.illinois.gov/app/cbci/. You can apply at the same time to get some money back from real estate taxes.
