We stand with students, parents, and teachers!
The Chicago Teachers Union is on strike and continues to fight for public school education. Here's what you can do to support the Chicago Teachers Union:
1.) Call CPS and the Mayor--Tell them you support the teachers' demands and that you know this fight is about more than money. It's about bringing smaller classes, a better--not just longer— day, and more services to our schools. The teachers are fighting for things that really matter in the classroom. Together we can win the schools our children deserve.
Call CPS CEO J.C. Brizard at 773-553-1500
2.) Take a picture with a sign stating “I support Chicago Teachers Union” and post it to Chicago Jobs with Justice Face Book Page
3.) Rally with CTU members as the strike continues. For the latest visit www.ctunet.com/
This week Chicago Jobs with Justice rallied with Chicago Teachers, hosted a community meeting in Southeast Chicago on public school education, and activated our National Network to pressure the Mayor and CPS to do the right thing.

Dozens of community members, teachers, parents and students gave testimony, at the JwJ Workers Righst Board in Southeast Chicago, on the need to support hard working teachers and invest in public school education.
