Emergency Campaign for Jobs: Join the ATU in Demanding Federal Funding for Mass Transit! Join Chicago Jobs with Justice as we join our brothers and sisters of the Amalgamated Transit Union Locals 241 & 308 to demand a real solution to the transit crisis in Chicago: federal money to maintain and expand public transportation. This is a key element in our Emergency Campaign for Jobs and this is a key fight to protect the public sector in the face of cutbacks and layoffs in this recession. What: Rally for Transit Funding Where: Rainbow-Push Headquarters Why: The CTA has laid-off over 1,000 union members. They have made major cuts in service that effect the entire city.
